Nursing Assistant – Elderly Care, Ippiarsuk

About the role

Ippiarsuk is a nursing home with 34 residents and an activity centre with 35 day users, employing more than 70 people. It is looking for a nursing assistant to work alongside nurses, health helpers and unskilled staff, working independently on nursing tasks such as medication administration, observations and documentation. The work is full-time, 40 hours per week, including day, evening and night shifts and one shift every second weekend.

Key responsibilities

• Work independently and professionally on nursing tasks, including medication administration, observations and documentation
• Take part in mixed shifts and help create a positive, creative and inspiring environment for residents
• Teach and act as a practice supervisor for students

Required profile

• Nursing assistant education or equivalent
• Well-founded professional background with broad clinical experience
• Responsible, flexible and positive, able to work in mixed shifts
• Bilingual preferred but not required
• Interest in elderly care and willingness to teach and supervise students
