Nursing Assistant – Elderly Care

About the role

Ippiarsuk, a nursing home with 34 residents and an activity centre with 35 day users, is looking for a nursing assistant to work with elderly people and their relatives. The post is full-time (40 hours per week), with day, evening and night shifts and duty every second weekend. You will work independently on nursing tasks such as medication administration, observations and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Work independently and professionally on nursing tasks including medication administration, observations and documentation
• Take part in mixed shifts and help create a positive, creative and inspiring environment
• Contribute to teaching and act as a practicum supervisor for students

Required profile

• Nursing assistant education or equivalent
• Well-founded professional background with broad clinical experience
• Responsible, flexible and positive, able to work in mixed shifts
• Good interest in elderly care; bilingualism is preferred but not required
• Ability to take part in teaching and act as a practicum supervisor
