Psychologist / Certified Psychotherapist – Therapy Department

About the role

Sikkerneq, a municipal service under the Children and Family Administration in Nuuk, offers support and treatment to children, young people and families. Its Therapy and Treatment Department, which currently has 10 staff, is looking for one psychologist or certified psychotherapist for therapy and treatment work. The post is a fixed full-time position reporting to the department head.

Key responsibilities

• Individual and group therapy for children, young people and parents
• Family therapy and parent counselling
• Psychological assessments and treatment plans, including documentation
• Cross-disciplinary cooperation and meetings with authorities
• Active participation in professional development and knowledge sharing within the team

Required profile

• Degree in psychology (cand.psych.) or certification as a psychotherapist
• Experience in therapeutic work with children, young people and families
• Experience with both treatment tasks and documentation
• Double proficiency in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not required
• A criminal record certificate and child protection certificate are required; employment can start only after they are received by the municipality
