Health Assistant – Elderly Care Nursing Home

About the role

Ippiarsuk, a nursing home with 34 residents and an activity centre with 35 day users, is looking for a health assistant. You will work independently and professionally on nursing tasks such as medication administration, observations and documentation, in a busy environment while keeping your overview. The work is full-time, 40 hours per week, including day, evening and night shifts and duty every second weekend.

Key responsibilities

• Work independently on nursing tasks including medication administration, observations and documentation
• Take part in mixed shifts and help create a positive, creative and inspiring environment
• Take part in teaching and act as a practicum supervisor for students
• Contribute to a respectful, responsible workplace where the resident is at the centre

Required profile

• Degree in health assistant or equivalent
• Well-founded professional background with broad clinical experience
• Responsible, flexible and positive, with good cross-disciplinary teamwork skills
• Interest in elderly care; bilingualism is preferred but not required
• Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not mandatory
