Medarbejder til Kompetenceudviklingscenter i Nuuk

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated staff member to join the newly established Competence Development Center in Nuuk. The center supports citizens aged 16‑28 with special needs, including mental health challenges, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD and other cognitive or social difficulties. The role is full‑time (40 hours per week) and offers the chance to shape the service from its inception.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver learning programmes and activities that develop participants’ social and vocational skills.
• Adapt interventions to individual needs, fostering self‑esteem, motivation and active community participation.
• Support practical life skills, daily tasks and personal challenges related to participants’ disabilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, external partners and contribute to the centre’s methodological development.

Required profile

• Qualified as a pedagogue, teacher or equivalent experience working with the target group.
• Hands‑on experience with young people with special needs and a creative, flexible approach.
• Patience, empathy and strong relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, taking responsibility for tasks.
• Structured, goal‑oriented work style; bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not mandatory.
