About the role

We are looking for an engaged and caring pedagogically trained professional to join our residential unit Qinngorput in Nuuk. The position is full‑time (40 hours per week) on day shift, supporting 21 residents with mental disabilities and substance‑use challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop residents’ mental, physical and social skills to increase independence, following individual care plans.
• Motivate and assist residents with daily activities such as walks, shopping and medical appointments.
• Strengthen the community within the unit by collaborating with colleagues, management and external partners.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the unit’s services while maintaining a high health‑care standard.

Required profile

• Pedagogical education (e.g., social educator, special‑needs teacher).
• Curiosity, resilience and a caring attitude that promotes a positive work environment.
• Willingness to develop personally and professionally to make a meaningful difference for residents.
• Positive mindset, sense of humor and ability to work stably under pressure.
