Barne- eller Socialhjælper til efter‑skoleklub (2 stillinger)

About the role

The AKO Miniklub in Qinngorput provides after‑school care for children in grades 1‑3 (ages 6‑9). Two full‑time Child or Social Assistants are needed to support the club’s activities and to participate in classroom teaching up to twice a week (approximately four hours).

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers during school lessons to promote children’s wellbeing and learning.
• Plan and lead spontaneous activities based on children’s interests, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents and colleagues to create a positive, open partnership.
• Maintain daily plans and support children with special needs together with dedicated support personnel.

Required profile

• Qualified as a Child Helper, Social Helper or equivalent.
• Familiarity with pedagogical work under the Inuit law and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
• Professional attitude, flexibility, good listening skills and ability to work well with children, staff and parents.
• Experience working with children; bilingual (Greenlandic/Danish) is a plus but not mandatory.
