About the role

We are looking for a health aide (or similar) to provide caring and compassionate care for elderly residents at a nursing home in Tasiilaq. The role involves close interaction with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team, as well as supervising and training unskilled staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver attentive and respectful personal care and support to 16 elderly residents.
• Collaborate with the manager and colleagues to develop and improve care frameworks and solutions.
• Plan, conduct and supervise training programmes for unskilled staff to enhance resident wellbeing.
• Participate in the ongoing development process focusing on competence development, job satisfaction and stability.

Required profile

• Qualified health aide or equivalent education.
• Motivation to work in the elderly care sector.
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to act as instructor and mentor for students and apprentices.
• Independent, responsible, service‑oriented and able to work structured in a busy environment.
• Robust, proactive and capable of taking initiative.
• Fluency in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not mandatory.
