About the role

The Gadeteamet in Nuuk is looking for a social or health‑professional to join its multidisciplinary team that supports the most vulnerable and homeless citizens through outreach, training and coordinated follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct street outreach in Nuuk and provide social‑skill training in community centres and private homes.
• Offer a safe, informal space (Uummateqarfik/Hjerterummet) where clients can access showers, clean clothing, haircuts and emergency shelter.
• Develop individual care plans, ensure documentation, and follow up on each client’s progress.
• Collaborate with partners, use Outlook for scheduling and communication, and contribute to continuous improvement of services.

Required profile

• Genuine curiosity and interest in working with vulnerable and homeless populations.
• Social or health‑care education and ability to build close relationships.
• Resilience, flexibility, and systematic approach to tasks and documentation.
• Good oral and written skills in Greenlandic, Danish and basic English.
• Familiarity with Nuuk and willingness to work in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook for email, calendar and task management.
