About the role

The Handicap and Social Psychiatry department seeks a dedicated team leader for the Seernaq residential unit. The role starts on 1 January 2027 (or later) and involves full‑time work (40 hours/week) primarily on weekdays, with occasional evening and weekend duties.

Key responsibilities

• Support 18 residents with physical and mental disabilities in developing psychological, social and practical skills to increase independence.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of about 23 staff members, including health‑care professionals, educators and support workers.
• Participate in on‑call duty rotation and contribute to staff development, documentation and training of students.

Required profile

• Relevant education in health or pedagogy (leadership experience preferred but not mandatory).
• Interest in working within the disability sector and willingness to engage in management tasks.
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills and ability to work independently, responsibly and service‑oriented.

Required skills

• Ability to plan and organise staff schedules and administrative tasks.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work assignments and to initiate improvements.
