About the role

The municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a qualified Health Aide (Sundhedshjælper) to join the team at the Ippiarsuk care centre. This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week position in a 24‑hour residential facility that provides care for 34 residents and an activity centre for 35 day users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care, personal hygiene assistance and treatment for residents.
• Implement preventive measures to promote residents' well‑being.
• Engage residents in activation and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with relatives and families as part of the care process.
• Work closely with the department manager and other multidisciplinary staff.

Required profile

• Qualified as a Health Aide or equivalent.
• Stable, responsible and able to work independently while maintaining an overview of tasks.
• Loyal, cooperative and respectful toward elderly users.
• Physically and mentally robust, with genuine passion for elderly care.
• Willingness to take on new tasks in a developing institution.
• Ability to introduce and support new colleagues and trainees.
• Knowledge of Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not mandatory.
