HR Office Officer (Maternity Leave Cover)

About the role

The municipality of Sermersooq is seeking an HR office officer to cover a maternity leave period. The role supports the HR function with administrative and operational tasks while providing service and advice to municipal leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Handle personnel administration tasks such as processing medical certificate refunds.
• Distribute incoming mail and inquiries to appropriate caseworkers.
• Manage headset responsibilities and other ad‑hoc duties.
• Collaborate with the HR team and report to the department manager.
• Opportunity for training on more complex HR tasks based on qualifications.

Required profile

• Shows initiative and decisive action.
• Service‑oriented with strong collaboration skills.
• Bilingual candidates preferred, though not mandatory.
• Some HR experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
• Possesses an office education or equivalent qualification.
