Consultant for Majoriaq Nuuk

About the role

The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a motivated consultant to support the Majoriaq centre in Nuuk. The role focuses on rehabilitation, work instructions, ability assessments and outreach guidance to help citizens prepare for employment or education.

Key responsibilities

• Process cases and register job‑seeking citizens.
• Develop action plans and monitor ongoing employment pathways.
• Provide guidance to unemployed individuals and coordinate employment‑oriented measures.
• Conduct match‑grouping, follow up on clarification processes and carry out visitation, direction and activation activities.
• Organise collaborations with businesses, including planning and hosting company cafés.
• Prepare consultation letters, hearings and decisions, including JYS‑stop assessments.
• Handle case work related to PKU/PKO courses.

Required profile

• Relevant education, preferably with a social‑work background.
• Knowledge of legislation in the social, education and labour‑market sectors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, show initiative and inspire others.
• Respectful communication, meeting people at eye level.
• Fluency in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not mandatory.
