About the role

The position is a full‑time (40 hours/week) deputy manager role at Boenhed Manngua 6, a residential unit for adults with mental and physical disabilities in Nuuk. You will work closely with the unit leader and step in as acting leader during their absence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate daily tasks in collaboration with the unit leader.
• Develop and adapt the unit’s service offers together with staff and the leader.
• Assume leadership and operational duties when the leader is absent.
• Support 9 residents in developing mental, physical and social skills to increase independence.
• Collaborate with a team of 13 staff members to ensure a high‑quality living environment.

Required profile

• Relevant professional background in disability and social psychiatry.
• Motivation for leadership, preferably with prior leadership experience.
• Willingness to develop personally and contribute to the department’s growth.
• Ability to set clear directions for staff together with the unit leader.
• Commitment to a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration and dialogue.
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks, adapt quickly and work flexibly.
