About the role

The residential unit Kangillinnguit in Nuuk is seeking a dedicated Social Helper to support approximately 25 residents with mental, physical, and substance‑use challenges. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and quality of life for the residents.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents in developing psychological, social, and practical skills to increase self‑reliance.
• Support daily activities such as walks, shopping, cooking, and medical appointments.
• Strengthen community life through collaboration with residents, colleagues, and management.
• Participate in interdisciplinary cooperation with internal and external partners, including case workers, hospitals, and correctional services.
• Contribute to the creation and follow‑up of individual care plans.

• Qualified as a social helper.
