About the role

The municipality of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is looking for a motivated consultant to support the rapidly developing Majoriaq Nuuk job‑search services. You will work within the Welfare and Labor Market department, helping young people and adults become ready for employment or education.

Key responsibilities

• Front‑desk service and telephone contact with citizens
• Registering unemployed persons in Winformatik and GetOrganized
• Processing applications and drafting decisions on job‑search benefits
• Administering quarantine measures and mobility‑promoting benefits
• Handling cases concerning external labour
• Quality‑checking payment lists
• Performing ad‑hoc tasks in collaboration with team members

Required profile

• Office education or a social‑work background
• Initiative, responsibility and ability to work independently
• Structured, service‑oriented approach in citizen contact
• Strong collaboration skills
• Bilingual candidates preferred (but not mandatory)
• Experience with public authority work and relevant legislation is an advantage
