Teacher for middle grades

About the role

Atuarfik Hans Lynge, a modern school located in the scenic Qinngorput district of Nuuk, is looking for a qualified teacher to join its middle‑grade team (grades 2‑3). The position involves delivering curriculum in music, Danish, and Kalaallisut while contributing to a collaborative, student‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons for middle‑grade classes in the subjects listed.
• Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere and manage student behavior effectively.
• Integrate digital tools such as iPads and Apple TV into daily teaching.
• Collaborate with colleagues, school leadership, and parents to support student learning and well‑being.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous development of school practices.

Required profile

• Certified teacher (seminariet) with a strong classroom leadership style.
• Positive, engaged, responsible and proactive attitude.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Willingness to work in a flexible, development‑oriented school environment.
• Motivation to contribute to a team‑based, multi‑track school structure.

Required skills

• Experience using iPads for instructional purposes.
