Kindergarten Teacher – Puiaq Daycare

About the role

Sermersooq Kommune is looking for interested and engaged kindergarten teachers for the integrated day-care centre Puiaq, which opened in 2005 and is located in town, close to the sea and surrounded by buildings with access to nature. The centre has 64 children across two rooms in the nursery (20 children) and two rooms in the kindergarten (24 children), and employs 15 staff members. The work focuses on each child's development and well-being, with a strong emphasis on close relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Work according to the centre's goals: pedagogy using nature, security and creativity
• Plan and carry out developmental activities for children
• Take responsibility and work independently, supporting the centre's goals
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents and take part in pedagogical discussions
• Be flexible and ready to adapt

Required profile

• Qualified kindergarten teacher
• Able to take responsibility and work independently
• Willing to cooperate with colleagues and parents
• Flexible and able to plan developmental activities
