Pedagogically Trained Employee – Daycare (Genopslag)

About the role

Sikkersoq, an integrated institution in Nuussuaq near Kangillinguup Atuarfia, is looking for an engaged, dedicated pedagogically trained employee. The institution has 64 children across four rooms (24 toddlers and 40 preschool children) and currently employs 14 people. The position is full-time, with 40 weekly hours on rotating shifts, and refers to the institution's head.

Key responsibilities

• Help build, maintain and develop a childcare institution where close relationships matter and each child and group's development and well-being are central.
• Support the institution's goals and help create a safe, coherent daily life with positive relationships.
• Plan development activities for children and work independently and responsibly.

Required profile

• Degree as a pedagogical assistant.
• Ability to take responsibility and work independently.
• Willingness to cooperate with colleagues and parents.
• Flexible and able to plan development activities for children.
• Stable and punctual, and attentive to individual children's needs.
• Criminal record certificate and child protection certificate; employment can start only after the municipality receives satisfactory certificates.
