About the role

Atuarfik Inussuk, a newly established school serving around 1,000 pupils from grades 1‑10 and nine special‑needs classes, is looking for dedicated support persons to work full‑time (40 hours/week). The role focuses on assisting children with their psychological, physical and social development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide social‑pedagogical support according to each child’s individual plan.
• Assist children with daily tasks and promote greater independence.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions and status meetings with administration and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school personnel.
• Prepare and submit status reports on each child’s progress.

Required profile

• Formal education as a support person or a pedagogical qualification, preferably with knowledge of diagnoses and disabilities; alternatively, relevant experience with children and youth.
• Robust, patient, friendly, responsible and respectful.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
• Willingness to engage in pedagogical discussions with colleagues and parents.
• Bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not mandatory.
