Støtteperson – Deltid (26 timer/uge)

About the role

Ilasiaq School is looking for a dedicated support person to work part‑time (26 hours per week) with children whose needs cannot be met in mainstream education. The role involves providing individualized assistance throughout the school day to promote personal, social and academic development.

Key responsibilities

• Support and train each child in line with their psychological, physical and social development goals.
• Deliver social‑pedagogical support according to the child’s individual plan.
• Assist with daily tasks and encourage greater independence.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions and status meetings with management and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff, and prepare status reports.

Required profile

• Qualified as a support person or holds a pedagogical education, preferably with knowledge of diagnoses and disabilities.
• Resilient, patient, friendly, collaborative, responsible and respectful.
• Able to work independently and take responsibility.
• Willing to engage in pedagogical discussions with colleagues and parents.
• Bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, not a requirement.

Required skills

• Experience working with children and youth in a special‑needs context.
