Social Worker – Daycare (4 positions)

About the role

The Sermersooq municipality is hiring four social workers or people with equivalent education to work at the integrated daycare Puiaq, which opened in 2005 and has a capacity of 64 children across two rooms. The workplace values close relationships, the development of each child and group, and offers opportunities for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Work according to the institution's goals: pedagogy using nature, giving security and encouraging creativity.
• Create a safe, coherent daily life for children through positive relationships and support the institution's goals.
• Take part in pedagogical discussions with colleagues and parents.
• Plan developing activities for children.

Required profile

• Education in social fields such as social worker, social assistant or pedagogical assistant.
• Ability to take responsibility and work independently.
• Willingness to cooperate with colleagues and parents.
• Flexible and able to plan activities for children.
• Bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not required.
