Pedagogue positions at AKO Miniklub Qinngorput

About the role

AKO Miniklub in Qinngorput is looking for two qualified pedagogues to join its after‑school programme for children aged 6‑9 (grades 1‑3). You will work in a vibrant team that supports children’s development, wellbeing and school transition.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily care and educational activities for up to 180 children.
• Plan and deliver spontaneous, interest‑driven activities both indoors and outdoors.
• Collaborate with the local school to follow each child’s school schedule and support their wellbeing.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of an annual pedagogical plan.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment in line with Greenlandic law and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Required profile

• Qualified pedagogue (or equivalent) with experience leading groups.
• Knowledge of pedagogical practices as defined by local legislation and the UN Children’s Convention.
• Ability to listen to children, be flexible, and adapt plans to their interests.
• Collaborative attitude toward children, colleagues, and parents.
• Bilingual (Greenlandic/Danish) candidates are preferred.
