About the role

The position is the leader of the after‑school care program "Nanoq" in Paamiut. The service provides supervised activities for children in grades 1‑3, Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 16:30, and is located at the Tuiisaq school.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the after‑school program, ensuring compliance with political frameworks and budgetary limits.
• Collaborate with the deputy manager to achieve pedagogical goals and implement the program’s annual plan.
• Maintain staff coverage according to the required staffing ratio (leader, deputy manager, two child‑social assistants, two aides, and part‑time cleaning staff).
• Develop and monitor activity plans, action plans, and individual support plans in cooperation with parents and staff.
• Conduct meetings with staff, users, and parents, and keep daily attendance records.
• Oversee administrative tasks, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with legal requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified as a pedagogical professional or equivalent education.
• Responsible, organized, and capable of maintaining an overview of the program.
• Creative, flexible, and able to handle stressful situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills, stable, and solution‑oriented.
