General Construction Electrician – Pituffik Space Base, Greenland

About the role

Serco is seeking a General Construction Electrician to support USACE renovation work at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland. The role involves installing and removing temporary power equipment, running conduit and cable, and ensuring electrical safety on an active construction site.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and remove temporary and construction power hardware on a 10‑hour shift.
• Run conduit and cable for fabrication equipment, trace cables, and create submittals and work plans.
• Perform LOTO procedures, electrical quality‑control testing, and troubleshooting of malfunctions.
• Review design documentation, generate RFIs, and support purchase request creation.
• Lead small installation teams when required and assist in demolition planning.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• High school diploma/GED and either a journeyman electrical license or 6 + years of relevant construction experience.
• Minimum 4 years of construction/electrical project experience and ability to read technical drawings.
• Willingness to work 10‑hour shifts in an arctic environment and travel up to 90 % of the time.

Required skills

• Electrical installation, conduit and cable routing, and LOTO procedures.
• Electrical quality‑control testing and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• OSHA 10, 30, or 40 certification; MWEP training; forklift, scissor‑lift, aerial‑boom, confined‑space, CPR/first‑aid certifications.
