About the role

Timmiaaqqat is an integrated early‑childhood institution in Greenland, caring for 36 infants and 64 preschool children across several rooms. The organisation seeks a dedicated Dagtilbudsmedhjælper (day‑care assistant) to support the pedagogues, plan activities and help create a safe, nurturing environment for each child.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead pedagogues in daily routines and supervise children in all rooms.
• Plan and facilitate age‑appropriate activities that promote development, independence and well‑being.
• Maintain close, supportive relationships with each child and communicate effectively with parents.
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the environment, stepping in when a pedagogue is absent.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, cleaning personnel and other assistants to keep the institution running smoothly.

Required profile

• Qualified pedagogue or equivalent early‑childhood education background.
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility and adapt to changing needs.
• Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative attitude toward colleagues and families.
• Willingness to obtain a criminal record and child‑protection clearance as required by law.
