About the role

The municipality of Sermersooq is seeking an engaged and visionary department head for Digitalisation. You will help build and shape the digitalisation area in close collaboration with the IT & Digitalisation manager, driving the creation of structures, work methods and partnerships that form the foundation for future digital initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and mature the municipality’s digitalisation work, including planning, coordinating and executing cross‑functional digital projects.
• Establish and evolve governance for digitalisation and information security, supporting implementation and anchoring of new digital solutions.
• Contribute to information security, compliance and data‑governance initiatives, providing oversight of digitalisation initiatives and supporting prioritisation and follow‑up.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with leaders, staff and external partners, and lead the digitalisation team both professionally and personally.

Required profile

• Experience in digitalisation, project management, organisational development or similar fields.
• Interest in leadership and motivation to develop people and organisations.
• Ability to create structure and direction in new or changing environments.
• Strong relational skills across functional areas and ability to translate strategic ambitions into concrete actions.

• Clear written and oral communication.
