Two pedagogical staff for Maligiaq

About the role

Maligiaq, an integrated early‑childhood institution in Nuuk, is seeking two qualified pedagogues or social pedagogues to join its team. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and development‑focused environment for children aged 0‑6.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate developmental activities based on the needs of each child group.
• Create secure, inclusive and predictable routines while fostering positive relationships between children and adults.
• Observe and monitor each child's wellbeing and development, contributing to collective pedagogical reflection.
• Collaborate respectfully with parents, colleagues, management and multidisciplinary partners.
• Support structure, healthy meals, hygiene standards and active outdoor play.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional discussions and institutional development.

Required profile

• Qualified as a pedagogical assistant or social‑help worker.
• Capable of working independently while being an active team member.
• Curious, constructive in pedagogical discussions and caring, stable, present and clear in work with children.
• Flexible and adaptable in a busy, varied environment.
• Communicates respectfully and professionally with children, parents and colleagues.
• Good knowledge of Greenlandic and Danish is a plus, but not mandatory.
