Social Helper or Similar Needed for Nuka Day Institution

About the role

The municipality of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is looking for a qualified social helper or similar professional to join the staff at the Nuka day institution, caring for children aged 3‑6 years.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility when the leader, deputy or educator is absent.
• Act as a role model for colleagues and collaborate closely with families.
• Support daily activities such as outdoor walks, healthy meals, exercise and preschool‑focused programs.
• Organise monthly joint activities with children, staff and parents.
• Develop tasks together with other staff members and parents in line with municipal goals for children.

Required profile

• Qualified as a social helper or a comparable education.
• Motivated, active and able to work independently.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Creative, experimental and child‑focused attitude.
• Stable, value‑driven and able to handle a busy day with multiple tasks.
