Satellite Controller – Active Secret Clearance Required

About the role

We are seeking a Satellite Controller to support the Satellite Control Network Operations, Remote Site and Mission Partner Support (STORMS) contract at Pituffik SB (Thule), Greenland. The role involves operating, configuring, and maintaining communications‑electronics equipment at Remote Tracking Stations to ensure continuous satellite communications.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, operate, and maintain assigned satellite systems during support, test, and maintenance activities.
• Initiate, direct, and verify operational events for acquisition, tracking, and commanding functions.
• Perform Senior Contract Representative duties as required.
• Maintain awareness of station equipment status and execute COMSEC duties.
• Assist with equipment repairs, alignment, and preventive maintenance inspections.
• Prepare daily activity logs and perform systems administration on mission‑related equipment.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to assigned trainees.

Required profile

• Active Secret (or higher) security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• High School diploma or GED; ability to work at heights and perform strenuous physical tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment and ability to operate it safely.
