About the role

As a CNS technician you will ensure the reliable operation of communication, navigation and surveillance systems that are critical for safe aviation in Greenland. The position is based in Nuuk, offering the chance to live in the capital while supporting airports across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNS installations and technical equipment at Greenland Airports' airports and heliports.
• Install, commission and upgrade new CNS systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair equipment such as localizer, DME, ILS glide‑path, radar and radio beacons.
• Travel to other airports for service and maintenance tasks.
• Participate in the department’s on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Relevant technical education (e.g., electronics technician, IT technologist).
• Structured, organized work style with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good decision‑making under pressure and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Experience with VHF transmitters and receivers.
• Knowledge of transmission lines.
• Familiarity with localizer, DME and ILS glide‑path systems.
• Ability to maintain radar equipment and radio beacons.
