Regnskabschef – ansvar for daglig økonomifunktion

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to take full responsibility for the daily finance function of ESANI A/S, a municipal waste and recycling company in Greenland. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure smooth bookkeeping, payroll processing and provide the management with accurate reporting, budgeting and liquidity forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping, payments, reconciliations and payroll runs.
• Ensure timely and accurate month‑end and period close.
• Prepare monthly management reports, budget follow‑up and liquidity forecasts.
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Analyse variances and translate numbers into actionable recommendations.
• Support year‑end closing and coordinate with external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support for the company’s turnaround efforts.
• Maintain simple, well‑documented processes and robust internal controls.

Required profile

• Relevant education in accounting or finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to run a finance function independently and deliver reliable financial overviews.
• Strong attention to detail, structured work style and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication in Danish or English; knowledge of Greenlandic is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with bookkeeping, payroll, reconciliations and period closing.
• Ability to produce management reporting, budgets and liquidity forecasts.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial systems.
• Familiarity with Uniconta and MDC‑lø n (preferred but not mandatory).
