About the role

The Welfare and Labour Market Unit of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is looking for a motivated intern from the AU Economics and Resource Management programme. The internship starts on 3 November 2026 and offers hands‑on experience in public‑sector finance and resource management.

Key responsibilities

• Process and follow up invoices, including payments and verification.
• Assist with budget monitoring and provide financial overviews for selected areas.
• Support control and quality assurance of financial registrations.
• Investigate and clarify economic matters in collaboration with colleagues and other departments.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of economic and administrative workflows.
• Provide general assistance to the controller team as needed.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in the AU Economics and Resource Management programme.
• Interest in public administration and financial processes.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn practical skills.
• Detail‑oriented, quality‑conscious and able to work independently.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Flexible and service‑oriented, with a collaborative mindset.
