Pædagogassistent til voksne med handicap i Nuuk

About the role

We are looking for a pedagogical assistant to work as a support person for adults with physical and mental disabilities living in Nuuk. The position is full‑time (40 hours per week) with regular hours Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑16:00.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily personal support to clients in their own homes, following individual care plans.
• Develop and update care plans together with each client.
• Accompany clients to public places such as hospitals, emergency rooms, and other appointments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners including district psychiatry, hospitals, social services, physiotherapy, and the correctional system.
• Ensure clients experience a normal, independent daily routine.

Required profile

• Engaged and positive outlook.
• Responsible, able to work independently.
• Patient and calm demeanor.
• Ability to communicate in Danish and/or Greenlandic is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills are required; the role focuses on personal care and support.
