Consultant – Citizen Support & Employment Services

About the role

Majoriaq Nuuk is looking for two dedicated consultants to work directly with citizens, helping them navigate the labour market and education system. The role involves providing guidance, motivation and support to job‑seekers, while contributing to the development of effective employment initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Process cases and register job‑seeking citizens.
• Develop and follow up on individual action plans and employment pathways.
• Provide counselling to the unemployed, plan and implement employment measures.
• Facilitate match‑group sessions and monitor clarification processes.
• Conduct visitation, referral and activation focusing on work capacity and development opportunities.
• Organise collaborations with businesses and host company cafés.
• Prepare consultation letters, hearings and decisions, including job‑search benefit stops and match‑group referrals.
• Handle cases related to PKU/PKO courses.
• Participate in development projects and ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Relevant education, preferably with a social‑work background.
• Knowledge of social, education and labour‑market sectors.
• Structured work style and ability to handle a varied workload.
• Initiative‑taking and positive contribution to the team.
• Respectful and engaging attitude towards citizens and colleagues.
• Ability to identify citizens’ wishes, resources and needs.
• Capability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in Danish and Greenlandic is an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Experience in counselling, case handling or employment services is beneficial.
