Labour Market Consultant – Majoriaq Tasiilaq

About the role

The municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a competent and engaged consultant for Majoriaq Tasiilaq, which works mainly on labour market, upskilling and education tasks. The consultant will work independently according to the goals set and take part in ongoing development across all areas. The position is within the municipality's Welfare and Labour Market administration, reporting to the labour market team leader. Start is expected on 1 October 2024 or later by agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Register unemployed people and handle administrative tasks
• Advise and counsel job seekers, upskilling candidates and students
• Process applications and follow up on incoming requests
• Work independently and cooperate with colleagues
• Help develop cooperation with businesses and educational institutions
• Cooperate with other municipal departments and take part in ad hoc tasks

Required profile

• Education and experience in the field
• Knowledge of the legislation on education and the labour market
• Initiative, respect for people and ability to identify needs on the labour market
• Greenlandic and Danish; bilingualism is an advantage but not required
