About the role

Fjord1 is looking for a deckhand (matros) to work on the Eidsdal‑Linge route aboard MF Norddalsfjord. The position involves passenger handling, ticketing, safety work and vessel maintenance, offering a varied and educational daily routine.

Key responsibilities

• Ticketing, guard duties and general onboard tasks.
• Alternating duties between deck and engine rooms as required.
• Performing tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
• Executing alarm instructions and environmental protection work.
• Handling customer service and ensuring safety standards.

Required profile

• Reliable and solution‑oriented with a focus on safety and service.
• Willingness to learn, work flexibly and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Valid sea‑service time according to maritime regulations.
• Completed safety courses as required by qualification regulations.
• Valid health certificate.

Required skills

• Sea‑service experience (Fartstid) complying with maritime qualification regulations.
• Safety training relevant to maritime certification standards.
• Crisis and passenger handling competence.
