Flight Operations Officer - Operations Control Centre

About the role

Air Greenland is recruiting a Flight Operations Officer for its Operations Control Centre (OCC) in Nuuk. You will work alongside 12 colleagues to maintain operational control of the airline's entire fleet, making sure aircraft and crew are available for the scheduled traffic programme, monitoring the fleet, preparing revised traffic plans when things go wrong and keeping all stakeholders informed of schedule deviations.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in daily traffic coordination and help plan flight departures and duty rosters with the Technical Department, station staff, cargo staff and crew.
• Monitor crew duty times and make sure they are recorded.
• Check that every crew member holds valid licences, medical certificates and required training.
• Keep close contact with the Technical Department and record all deviations from the planned traffic programme.
• Initiate the emergency medical service (EMS) in the event of an incident or accident.

Required profile

• Education such as Flight Operations Officer, Dispatcher, AFIS Operator, Traffic Assistant or a qualification in logistics.
• Flexible, calm in stressful situations, cooperative and communicative.
• Structured, precise and solution-oriented, able to comply with applicable legislation and collective agreements.
• Understanding of flight and duty time limitations, legislation and manuals.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Good IT skills.
• High level of written and spoken English.
