About the role

We are looking for an engaged and technically strong Technical Leader to manage the daily operation, maintenance and fire safety of a new modern school building in Greenland. The role is pivotal in ensuring a safe, functional environment for students, staff and visitors, and acts as the building’s operational responsible party under current fire‑technical regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure daily operation and maintenance of the school’s buildings and technical installations, planning and coordinating service inspections.
• Supervise external contractors, document all maintenance tasks and handle fault reports.
• Maintain fire‑technical installations, ABA fire‑alarm systems, keep logbooks and ensure escape routes are clear.
• Conduct regular checks of fire doors, emergency lighting, fire‑extinguishing equipment and other safety installations.
• Develop duty‑roster and backup arrangements, ensure competent contacts for operational disturbances and collaborate with school management on the operational strategy.

Required profile

• Building‑technical, craft or engineering education.
• Experience with operation and maintenance of large buildings and technical installations.
• Knowledge of ABA fire‑alarm systems, fire‑technical installations, CTS systems, ventilation and technical supply systems.
• Ability to work in a structured manner with documentation and authority requirements.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with employees, suppliers and authorities.
