Senior Construction Project Engineer – Pituffik Space Base

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Senior Construction Project Engineer to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland. The role focuses on field inspection, documentation, and ensuring contractor compliance on large, multi‑million‑dollar DoD infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.
• Provide oversight of contractor compliance using the USACE 3‑Phase inspection program.
• Maintain comprehensive field records, daily reports, measurements, and photographs.
• Participate in technical reviews of submittals, issue discrepancy notices, and develop punch lists.
• Attend construction progress meetings and resolve installation conflicts.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of construction project inspection experience on large DoD projects.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a substance‑abuse test.
• Knowledge of USACE Three‑Phase Inspection Process and EM 385‑1 safety requirements.
• CQM certification or retired military background is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience using RMS (construction reporting system)
