Maternity leave substitute teacher for special class

About the role

Atuarfik Hans Lynge, a modern primary school in Nuuk, is seeking a qualified teacher to cover a maternity leave in its special‑class program (grades 1‑10). The position involves leading a classroom that uses digital tools such as iPads and Apple TV.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons for a mixed‑ability special class.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, school leadership, and parents.
• Integrate iPad‑based learning resources into daily instruction.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing school development.

Required profile

• Seminar‑educated teacher (qualified teacher degree).
• Strong classroom leadership and resilience.
• Positive, engaged, responsible and proactive attitude.
• Ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Motivation to work in a flexible, development‑oriented school environment.

Required skills

• Experience using iPads for teaching.
