About the role

The position leads the after‑school care centre Nanoq in Paamiut, serving children from 1st to 3rd grade. The centre operates Monday‑Friday, 07:30‑16:30, and the leader works primarily between 08:00‑16:00 with flexible start‑end times as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑operate with the sous‑chef to ensure the centre meets its pedagogical goals and complies with regulations.
• Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, attendance recording, and budgeting.
• Develop and implement activity plans, action plans and yearly pedagogical programmes.
• Maintain close collaboration with parents, staff and municipal authorities.
• Oversee the hiring, training and supervision of a team of 6½ staff members.

Required profile

• Qualified educator or equivalent education.
• Responsible, organized, creative and able to handle stressful situations.
• Flexible, collaborative, stable and solution‑oriented.
• Capable of working within political frameworks and institutional budgets.
