About the role

The municipality of Sermersooq in Paamiut is looking for a dedicated consultant to work within the pension area of its Social Service department. The role involves ensuring that all pension case handling – both early retirement and old‑age pensions – complies with current legislation and is based on thorough assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Assess applications for early retirement and conduct re‑assessments of existing cases.
• Provide case handling, advice and guidance on pension matters in line with laws, regulations and circulars.
• Prepare proposals for the interdisciplinary committee and collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Maintain pension records, process budget changes, and handle senior‑budget adjustments and allowances.

Required profile

• Completed education equivalent to TNI or similar.
• Experience in case handling within the pension field is preferred.
• Service‑oriented, collaborative, positive and detail‑focused.
• Ability to work independently, flexibly and communicate clearly in both written and spoken form.

Required skills

• Familiarity with GetOrganized software.
• Experience using AX Prisme system.
