Indkøbssupervisor til Pituffik Space Base

About the role

Inussuk A/S, the maintainer of the Pituffik Space Base in Greenland, is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to lead its procurement department. Reporting to the supply‑chain procurement manager, you will ensure compliance with corporate policies, FAR/DFARS requirements and customer expectations while supporting the base’s mission readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full transaction lifecycle from purchase order issuance to payment closure.
• Develop proactive procurement strategies to deliver best value and mission readiness.
• Oversee purchase order file reviews, invoice acceptance, planning and reporting.
• Ensure purchase orders are closed in accordance with CPM requirements and address system errors.
• Monitor aging purchase orders, documenting reasons for any PO over 30 days and coordinating rapid resolution.
• Review and approve or reject invoices daily, coordinating with finance to resolve discrepancies.
• Control payment‑card usage, reconcile monthly statements and handle exceptions per CPM guidelines.
• Schedule staff, manage timesheets, vacation requests and workload distribution.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and apply progressive discipline as needed.
• Handle discrepancy reports, ensuring issues are resolved within five business days.
• Align procurement processes with the Maximo system, maintaining accurate data.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure all personnel and vehicles are properly licensed.
• Travel as required for program needs and temporary assignments.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in procurement, contract administration, supply chain or material management supporting U.S. federal programs.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS compliance and government contracting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of supply‑chain professionals.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills in a remote, challenging environment.
