General Construction Electrician – Construction & Electrical Support

About the role

Serco is seeking a General Construction Electrician to support the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Pituffik SB, Greenland. The role involves providing on‑site electrical support for building construction, renovation, and high‑altitude EMP protection projects.

Key responsibilities

• Work 10‑hour shifts on an active construction site, installing and removing temporary power equipment.
• Create submittals, review vendor and supplier documentation, and develop work plans including material, tool, schedule, AHA and manning requirements.
• Prepare and review Requests for Information (RFIs) and support purchase request creation.
• Identify and specify materials for installation activities and support Activity Hazard Analyses.
• Perform electrical quality‑control testing, documentation, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot and correct electrical malfunctions; assemble or install wiring, soldering, or connecting equipment.
• Lead small installation teams when required and assist in demolition and installation planning.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• High School Diploma/GED; journeyman electrical license or minimum 6 years construction‑related experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in construction or related projects.
• Ability to read and interpret installation and construction drawings.
• Strong organizational, analytical and confidentiality skills; proficient with MS Office.
