About the role

The municipality of Sermersooq is seeking an Assistant for the Citizen Service in the village of Kulusuk. The role supports daily operations of the citizen service department, handling inquiries and coordinating with other municipal units.

Key responsibilities

• Serve the citizen service department on a daily basis, ensuring timely handling of citizen inquiries.
• Provide support to other departments, including the village council, and manage the forwarding of applications and notices.
• Process social benefit cases and forward relevant documentation.
• Compile and forward time‑reporting data and maintain accurate archives.
• Assist residents in using the self‑service portal for Sullissivik.
• Coordinate communications between the municipality, the village council, and citizens.
• Handle administrative tasks such as operating budgets and ad‑hoc assignments.

Required profile

• Works independently and demonstrates versatility in handling varied tasks.
• Organized, tidy and able to maintain clear records.
• Collaborative, outgoing and comfortable interacting with the public.
• Possesses a clean criminal record, as a police‑issued certificate is mandatory before employment can commence.
