Afdelingsleder til børneinstitution Annersuaq

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Department Leader to manage Annersuaq, an integrated childcare institution serving 64 children across two nursery groups and two kindergartens. The position is full‑time and reports to the head of the municipal Children, Family and School Administration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 15 staff members, including the manager, deputy manager, educators, social assistants, assistants, kitchen and cleaning personnel.
• Ensure the institution operates from 07:00 to 17:00, maintaining high standards of safety and pedagogical quality.
• Implement the institution’s values: appreciative pedagogy, nature‑based learning, respect for diversity, and creation of secure, development‑friendly environments.
• Participate actively in the leadership team, contributing to strategic decisions and daily operations.

Required profile

• Qualified pedagogue with proven experience in department leadership.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to maintain an overview of staff and children.
• Approachable and positive attitude towards children, staff, and parents.
• Stable personality with strong organizational skills.
• Fluency in Danish; knowledge of Greenlandic is an advantage but not mandatory.
