About the role

Puiaq, an integrated daycare located near the beach in Greenland, is looking for four qualified social assistants or professionals with equivalent training to join its team. The role focuses on fostering safe, nurturing, and development‑focused environments for children aged 0‑5.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and well‑being.
• Plan and implement development‑oriented activities that incorporate nature, creativity, and a sense of security.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents in pedagogical discussions and individualized child plans.
• Maintain a consistent, positive routine that supports each child’s emotional and social growth.
• Contribute to the institution’s goals of robust, happy, and healthy children through guidance and reflective practice.

Required profile

• Formal education in a social field such as social assistant, social helper, or pedagogical assistant.
• Ability to work independently while being a proactive team member.
• Willingness to engage with staff, parents, and participate in pedagogical meetings.
• Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing needs.
• Knowledge of Greenlandic and Danish is advantageous but not mandatory.
