About the role

Maligiaq, an integrated early‑years institution in Nuuk, is looking for two qualified pedagogues or social pedagogues to join its team. The successful candidates will help create a safe, nurturing and development‑focused environment for children aged 0‑6 years.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate age‑appropriate pedagogical activities based on the needs of each child group.
• Establish secure, inclusive and predictable routines that foster positive relationships between children and adults.
• Observe and monitor each child’s wellbeing and development, contributing to collective pedagogical reflection.
• Collaborate respectfully with parents, colleagues, management and multidisciplinary partners.
• Support healthy nutrition, hygiene, outdoor play and overall daily structure.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional discussions and the continuous development of the institution’s practice.

Required profile

• Qualified as a pedagogical assistant or social‑help worker.
• Ability to work independently while being an active team member.
• Curious and willing to engage constructively in pedagogical discussions.
• Compassionate, stable, present and clear in interactions with children.
• Flexible and adaptable in a busy, varied daily environment.
• Professional and respectful communication with children, parents and colleagues.
• Good command of Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not mandatory.
