Pedagogical Staff Member Wanted for Sikkersoq Child Institution

About the role

We are looking for a qualified pedagogical professional to join Sikkersoq, an integrated child institution in Nuussuaq. You will help build, maintain and develop a nurturing environment where close relationships and the wellbeing of each child are central.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily activities that support the development and wellbeing of children aged 0‑6.
• Apply an appreciative pedagogy and use nature as a learning tool.
• Create safe, inclusive spaces that respect diversity and promote social interaction.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the institution’s leadership to achieve educational goals.
• Monitor individual needs of children and adapt support accordingly.

Required profile

• Completed pedagogical education (e.g., early childhood education).
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for a classroom.
• Strong collaboration skills with staff and families.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing situations.
• Reliability, punctuality and a stable work attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of appreciative pedagogy and child‑centered teaching methods.
• Experience using natural environments as educational resources.
• Capability to design development‑focused activities for young children.
